Smart Value Guide is reader-supported. Some links on this site are affiliate links, and this page explains what that means for you.

What an affiliate link is

If you click an affiliate link and then buy the product, we may earn a commission from the seller. The price you pay is the same whether you use our link or not.

Where you’ll see them

Affiliate links appear in product reviews, comparisons, and the “where a supplement fits” sections of some guides. Each review shows a short disclosure before its first product link, and the links are marked as sponsored in the page code.

Commissions don’t change ratings

Ratings are based on the evidence, following the process on How We Review. Of the five vision supplements in our comparison, three are marked Not Recommended and have no buy button, even though we could have linked them as affiliates.

We don’t accept payment from brands for reviews, ratings or placement.

Why we tell you this

You should know when a website can earn money from what it recommends. This disclosure follows the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements (FTC’s Endorsement Guides: What People Are Asking).

Not medical advice

A review on this site is not a recommendation that you personally take a product. If you have vision changes, especially sudden ones, talk to a healthcare provider first.
